Movies of 2021 That We’re Looking Forward to Watch

Even after a year, life still isn’t on track. Uncertainties continue to loom and turns out, everyone has very little motivation to look forward to anything. But, just like there’s a silver lining to everything, there’s one thing we can look forward to. You know, something that would help us feel less caught up in the mayhem. An escape that we all call movies!

Luckily, a huge number of movies are ready to be released this year. 2020 wasn’t good for movie theatres, but, we have a feel that 2021 will treat cinemas relatively better. Let’s take a look at all the movies that are expected to be released this year. It’s okay if you’re still skeptical about going to the theatres. These movies might soon make their way into On Demand movie libraries from Mediacom TV and other leading TV providers as well.

2021’s Highly-Anticipated Movies

In The Earth

Expected Release Date: April 16th, 2021

In The Earth is a horror flick that revolves around a scientist who plans to conduct his research on a mysterious virus, inside a forest. Things take a turn as his journey slowly morphs into a strange nightmare. Will he be able to make it out of the forest?

Mortal Kombat

Expected Release Date: April 23rd, 2021

Every Mortal Kombat fan has waited long enough for this reboot to come out. 2021’s Mortal Kombat is packed with everything that you’ve been wanting to see in a fantasy martial arts flick. Oh and James Wan is producing this movie, so you can expect a bit of oohs and ahs.

Wrath of Man

Expected Release Date: May 7th, 2021

A Guy Ritchie directorial venture, this one’s a potential treat for all heist-movie fanatics. The movie stars Jason Statham and is based on the 2004 French movie, Cash Truck. The story revolves around Statham’s character who works for an armored truck company.

Spiral

Expected Release Date: May 14th, 2021

From the creators of the movie Saw, this movie revolves around Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock as cops, who probe into a series of gruesome murders. What trouble lies ahead as their investigation picks pace? We’ll have to find that out.

Army Of The Dead

Expected Release Date: May 21st, 2021

This one’s a zombie thriller from Zack Snyder. Starring Dave Bautista, the plot of Army Of The Dead helms around mercenaries who plan a heist in the zombie-struck Las Vegas casino. Will they become successful or is their doom waiting on the other side? We honestly can’t wait to find that out.

Cruella

Expected Release Date: May 28th, 2021

The childhood flick that we all grew up watching is back once again. Played by Emma Stone, Cruella focuses solely on the namesake character. The movie will take us through the instances that added to Cruella’s obsession with Dalmatian fur. This movie will be available with Premier access to Disney+ users.

A Quiet Place II

Expected Release Date: May 28th, 2021

After the massiveness of part I, John Krasinski is back once again with the sequel A Quiet Place part II. This one will follow the same series of events as you saw in the first part. Of course, just like its prequel, this one will take you through the same crippling tension. So, you better be ready for it.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Expected Release Date: June 4th, 2021

The paranormal investigating duo is back once again and this time, they’re investigating the case of a murder suspect who blames demonic possession for his defense. Would the culprit be put behind the bars? Or is there another entity to blame for this? We’ll have to find that out.

In the Heights

Expected Release Date: June 11th, 2021

From the director of Crazy Rich Asians, this movie is an adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical In the Heights. This movie may seem a bit similar to Crazy Rich Asians, as it follows the same ‘heritage reclaiming’ storyline. In the Heights helms around different characters living in New York’s Latino neighborhood and the coming three days, that would change their lives.
